Players of Karate Do Association of Bengal (KAB) represented India at the 9th South Asian Karate Do Championship which was held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo (Srilanka) from 4th to 6th July 2025.
With 2 Gold, 1 Silver & 2 Bronze Medals the Bengal players proved their talent at the South Asian level. It was their achievement and stunning performances at the KIO National which have earned them their places.
The welcoming of players was supervised by Hanshi Joydeb Mondal (General Secretary of KAB). Huge number of Karate lovers of Bengal gathered at the Airport last night.
KAB feels ecstatic to thank each and everyone for their blessings and support.



Karate Association of Bengal (KAB), with its commitment to promoting karate across Bengal under the leadership of Hanshi Premjit Sen (President), proudly participated in the Olympic Day Celebration on 29th June 2025 at Netaji Indoor Stadium (Kolkata).
KAB being the only Karate Association in West Bengal, recognised by Bengal Olympic Association (BOA) and Karate India Organisation (KIO), took part in this event. Thanks to Sri Chandan Roychowdhury (President of BOA) and Sri Jahar Das (General Secretary of BOA) for officially inviting KAB for this wonderful event.
Supervised by Hanshi Joydeb Mondal (General Secretary) and Kyoshi Subhas Mitra (Vice President), members of KAB showcased their oneness with a spirited walk, emphasizing discipline, fitness, and Olympic values. The event fostered sportsmanship and unity, aligning with the Olympic spirit. KAB’s presence underscored their dedication to nurturing talent and contributing to India’s sporting excellence on both national and international platforms.






The West Bengal State Karate team delivered an exceptional performance at the 4th KIO National Karate Championship for Sub-Junior, Cadet, and Junior categories, held from 11th to 15th June 2025 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
Facing fierce competition from the best young talents across India, the Bengal team emerged with a phenomenal haul of 26 medals—8 Gold, 10 Silver, and 8 Bronze—securing 5th position overall among all participating states and union territories. Their success was a testament to their discipline, determination, and rigorous preparation.
The Karate Do Association of Bengal extends its heartfelt congratulations to all medal winners, participants, and their families, as well as gratitude to the coaches, officials, and supporters who played a vital role in this grand achievement.
Also pivotal in this success was Hanshi Joydeb Mondal, General Secretary of KAB, who alongside Hanshi Premjit Sen, has worked relentlessly to create opportunities for Bengal’s karatekas on national and international platforms.



Karate Do Association of Bengal (KAB) feels proud to inform one and all that, West Bengal Police is now an affiliated member of KAB.

This feat is only possible due to our very hard-working and dynamic President of KAB, Hanshi Premjit Sen. His tireless efforts to popularize Karate all over has reaped good results. We all are proud of him and his unwavering contributions to this game.
Not to forget, Hanshi Joydeb Mondal (General Secretary of KAB), who whole-heartedly supports Hanshi Premjit Sen.
